Community College Experience of Doctoral Degree Recipients
Overall, 14.7 percent of all 2017 doctoral degree recipients had ever attended a community college. American Indians or Alaska Natives were the most likely to have attended a community college (29.4 percent), followed by Hispanic or Latino students (25.5 percent), students of more than one race (23.2 percent), and Black or African American students (23.0 percent).
