Graduate Students Receiving Grant Aid
In 2015–16, 42.1 percent of all graduate students received some amount of grant aid. Grant aid was most common among students pursuing doctoral degrees (55.7 percent) and least common for master’s students (40.0 percent). The share of graduate students receiving grant aid ranged from 34.9 percent of Black or African American students to 61.2 percent of American Indian or Alaska Native students.
